Stewardship

What does it truly mean to be a steward? Not just of money, but of every gift, talent, relationship, and moment we have been given? This message digs into one of the most challenging and misunderstood parables Jesus ever told, found in Luke 16, where an unrighteous manager is surprisingly commended for his shrewdness. At first glance, it seems like Jesus is applauding dishonesty, but the deeper truth is far more convicting. The real question being asked is this: if people of the world pursue their goals with relentless focus and cunning, why do we so often hold back when it comes to the things of eternity? We are reminded that nothing we have truly belongs to us. Our jobs, our finances, our families, our gifts, all of it has been entrusted to us by God, and one day we will give an account for how we managed it. This is not a message about guilt. It is an invitation to shift our perspective from obligation to privilege, from going through the motions to living with genuine kingdom purpose.
