Meditate On The Word

Aug 1, 2026

What does it actually mean to meditate on God's word? It is not about clearing our minds and sitting in silence the way the world defines meditation. It is about taking scripture off the page and letting it breathe inside the ordinary moments of our lives. Using Psalm 23 as a living example, we explore how a verse as familiar as 'The Lord is my shepherd, I have all that I need' can transform something as mundane as washing dishes into an act of genuine gratitude. When we begin to see our dirty dishes as evidence of provision rather than a burden, the word is no longer just something we read. It becomes something we inhabit. That is the kind of meditation Psalm 1 is pointing us toward when it describes a person who delights in God's law and thinks on it day and night, becoming like a tree planted by streams of water, rooted and fruitful.
