Do What He Says

This powerful message takes us to the wedding at Cana, where Jesus performed His first recorded miracle, turning water into wine. But this isn't just a story about a miracle—it's a masterclass in learning to trust God through the process. We discover that Jesus, our ultimate teacher, doesn't work as a dictator who simply fixes everything instantly. Instead, He slows down the process so we can learn, grow, and develop genuine trust in Him. The wedding guests had to fill six massive stone jars with water, carrying gallon after gallon until each jar was filled to the brim. Only after they completed this act of faith did Jesus transform the water into the finest wine. This teaches us something profound: God often waits for us to complete step one before revealing step two. Many of us want to jump to the miracle, to skip ahead to the breakthrough, but we haven't even finished what He last asked us to do. The message challenges us with Mary's simple yet powerful instruction to the servants: 'Do whatever He tells you.' Between God's 'yes' and His 'no' are countless teaching moments where we learn to recognize His voice, trust His timing, and participate in His miraculous work. The beauty is that when we step out in faith—even when it seems as simple as filling jars with water—we position ourselves to witness God's transformative power in ways that bring joy not just to us, but to everyone around us.
